To be honest, I don't understand as much as it might look like. I still count on those like Shoma for the finer details of how anything works, especially when it comes to science or technology. I just focus on what I think are the core parts or on the things I want to know more about. Like the I.R.I.S.—I learn about the things I want to do with it, and I ignore the rest.
